Light, Bright & Airy Bedroom Decor

I don't really have defined decorating style.I like anything that is clean, light, bright & airy. 

My bedroom is on the lower level of a raised ranch, meaning that I need to work really hard to make it feel bright. I painted all of my walls a very light gray so that the trim work on the window and the ledge that runs around my room stands out! I also added floor length sheer white curtains on both windows so that it gives the illusion of taller ceilings. 

All of my furniture (bed, dressers, bookcase, large planter) are also all white. I mostly have pops of color from pictures and my plants stationed all around the room. My carpeting, which I am hoping to replace soon, is very busy so therefore I need to do all that I can to draw attention away from it. 

Styling a Dresser

Most items in this space I have bought either on Amazon or at Home Goods! I roll on a low budget and pride myself in getting the best deals! There are a few things that I am hoping to change about this space soon. First, I am planing on getting a very large area rug to distract from the green carpet until I can replace it. And second, I hope to I am moving the TV out of the bedroom. My living room is currently full of stuff! My parents and my sister are switching houses and my space has inherited items that do not belong to me! Once that move has happened I will have my space back and will be able to re-do that space as well! 

For me it's all about the details! It takes styling and re-styling to get the look that you see in your head. I must have styled the top of my dresser three or four times before I landed on the above. What pictures do I want here? Where should I place them? How much jewelry is too much jewelry to display? Its the little things that that make a space feel cozy!
