Spring Inspired Hoop Wreath

Spring Inspired Hoop Wreath
More often than not I walk into my crafting space not having any idea what I am going to create. The day that this hoop wreath was made, I had just come in from a long walk after being cooped up in the house due to the covid-19 social distancing directives. It was actually starting to feel like spring, which is not typical for April in Vermont!

The first thing that I do is decide what kind of product I will be creating. It could be a downloadable document, driftwood art, knitting, a painting, etc. On this day I settled in a hoop wreath.

The next thing that I do is decide on a color scheme. Since I had already decided that I wanted to create something that felt like spring, the color that I chose reflected just that. White, blue light green and a light burn orange became my pallet!

When making a hoop wreath the type of leaf or stems that I choose really changes the direction that the piece will  go. Seeing that it was April and Easter was coming up I felt it was serendipitous that I chose lambs ear!

My actual creative process when I am putting a wreath together has no rhyme or reason. I take the flowers that I want to include, a glue gun and I just whack away at it! Normally, I will create a layout on the wreath without  gluing anything down, then when I find something I like, I hot glue it down!
